Renovation Meta Balancing Sheet

Overview

This page highlights the work I have done for creating a balancing sheet for a decoration / renovation meta game. The meta is straightforward, players gain stars by completing levels which are used to complete tasks. It is important to note, all data used in these images is dummy data and does not belong to any game either in development or live on the stores.

The biggest accomplishments for me here:

  • Recycled my approach for the Level Balancing Sheet
  • Created a strong overview page to illustrate progression
  • The dynamic nature of the sheet, it is very easy to tweak the amount of tasks per area

Progression Overview

The overview has the sole purpose of quickly informing anybody on what the progression looks like. At quick glance, you can see it can take players about 240 minutes to complete 6 areas / houses. Furthermore, there’s some averages and graphs indicating the progression for the player

Balancing

Similar to the work I did for the Level Balancing Sheet, this features a fully dynamic approach per House as well. There’s still manual copy + pasting required, however, the graphs and data fueling the graphs are all dynamic.

Dynamic Sheet

This video showcases that I can easily adjust the amount of tasks and other settings so they’re updated immediately. This allows for easy management in terms of the progression curve.
